Safe Sleep Ambassador Program

One of the main goals of Cribs for Kids® is to emphasize the importance of Safe Sleep Education and to disseminate it effectively throughout communities. One of the programs that we developed to achieve this goal is the Safe Sleep Ambassador – Education Outreach Program. Our method of implementing this program is “Each one teach one” by becoming a Safe Sleep Ambassador and educating others about safe sleep for infants so that we can prevent sleep-related deaths such as accidental suffocation and SIDS. Hospital Certification Program

The Cribs for Kids® National Infant Safe Sleep Hospital Certification program awards recognition to hospitals that demonstrate a commitment to reducing infant Sleep-Related Deaths by promoting best safe sleep practices and by educating on infant sleep safety. By becoming certified, a hospital is demonstrating that it is committed to being a community leader and is pro-actively eliminating as many sleep-related deaths as possible. National Public Safety Initiative

The mission of Public Safety Officers is to help keep children safe by preventing the leading cause of death for children – – Unintentional Injury.

Fatal injury varies with age. For infants, the number one cause of death is due to unsafe sleeping environments, which result in sleep-related deaths such a accidental suffocation and sudden, unexplained infant death SUID.Continue Reading

Managed Care Organizations

The Cribs for Kids Managed Care Organization Incentive Program will help Managed Care Organizations to encourage pregnant women to attend all recommended prenatal care visits, where they will receive infant safe sleep education as well as additional information on ways to improve the health of their babies.
